Description: The Drill Core database is a digital catalogue of all core samples stored in the six regional Department core libraries. Core samples from over 9,000 drill holes are presently being stored in the core libraries. Most of these core samples are the product of drilling programs conducted by mineral exploration companies in the province. The attribute information is taken from assessment reports submitted to the Department by the mineral exploration companies that conducted the drilling. The attribute data includes information on the company, property and year of drilling, a link to the assessment report (Geofile), the number of boxes of core and which core library houses that core.
